Skizzen is the video piece of the first collaboration between Sound Artist Dominic Murcott and Visual Artist Carol Wyss LG.
SKIZZEN was performed on a pianola Trinity Laban New Lights Contemporary Music Festival 2024
A specialist in the US-Mexican pianola composer Conlon Nancarrow, Dominic invited Carol to engage with pianola rolls he’d composed. Carol’s interests lie in exploring human relationships to their surroundings, using the human skeleton as the basis for creating print installations. The resulting works combine structural imagery of the human body with sound and machine.
