Incarnation by Jonathan Armour and Sade Hunt

A prominent concrete high-rise building in downtown Hartford will get a facelift – albeit temporarily – as it partners with a local nonprofit that will project animated images onto the windowless exterior wall facing Interstate 84.

Frontier Communications has teamed up with RiseUp for Arts, a statewide public art nonprofit, to sponsor “Magic Murals,” a projection-mapping installation that features interactive elements and animated visual narratives. The shows will use an array of digital projectors, and will run from 6pm to 10pm on Nov 13, 14 and 15.

“This ‘Incarnation’ is the story of ‘becoming’, in fact of becoming Sade. It is the story of her life, but it is not a documentary – we have allowed ourselves some creative freedom. Freedom also being an underlying theme in this project.” Jonathan Armour.
