This work evolved at a time that we were acutely aware of the breathe/air we inhaled. The balance of bad & good air: the avoidance of contaminated air, by wearing PPE (personal protective equipment)/masks versus the need for consuming the optimal quantity of air, so that our lungs took in oxygenated blood to the vital organs. Made at the zenith of when the Indian Subcontinent, was gasping for breath & running out of oxygen. Around the same time NASA was learning how to cleave a CO2 molecule to generate O2...

The last 18 months, many individuals throughout the world were out of breath or air, when a novel spiky agent, infiltrated our lives. Many brains & hands across the world joined in the race to devise an effective vaccine to combat the effects. This Installation was inspired by the MOXIE (Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment) apparatus sent onto Mars, to split a carbondioxide molecule to generate oxygen.This DIY natural system instead explores how either oxygen is harvested or expended by homegrown methods.The installation attempts to draw parallels between the electron microscopic structure of the SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) particle, the molecular structure of Carbondioxide (CO2), Oxygen ( O2), Heliocentrism and nature's airborne seed dispersal systems.
