What have we done to our planet and will we manage to stop the destruction of our own habitat?
These photographic images of parts of the human skull evoke planetary landscapes. Many scientists suggest that we have been in the Anthropocene epoch ever since humans began to significantly impact the planet's geology and ecosystems in the mid twentieth century. The human brain with its disproportionally large cerebral cortex and amazing cognitive capacity enabled the invention of the wheel and moon landings but is now also in danger of bringing about our destruction as human activities start to overwhelm the planetary machinery.
