Charlotte C Mortensson started taking photographs of Kingston Railway Station over 5 years ago. This beautiful Jamaican Georgian Station closed in 1992, along with the rest of the country’s network. It had been one of the world’s first rail networks.

Granted special permission by the Jamaica Railway Corporation, Charlotte has taken literally hundreds of images of the faded rolling stock, the imposing yards and workshops. She will be exhibiting a selection of large format images in the station’s roomy ticket office, entrance hall and a fabulous old carriage with wooden seats, which still stands at the platform edge.
