Translocation and Dislocation Exhibition

“For several years here at CollectConnect we’ve been interested in reaching beyond the gallery walls. Exhibiting art in unexpected places using non-traditional methods. For our Translocation and Dislocation exhibition we will choose a different public location for each artwork, the art might be placed in a complementary location (to add to the narrative) or juxtaposed against a competing backdrop to create new meaning.”

Placement of works
We will find a location for each of the written pieces (printed on a t-shirt and worn, tattooed on someone, etc), or film (projected onto a shed, face, apple etc).
A First Responder will create a response that takes into consideration both the art itself and the location. First Responders can be other artists, or writers or keen art lovers, so there is no uniform response.
