Group show ‘Traces Of Light’ celebrates the start of Tregony Gallery’s fifth year curated by Judi and Brian Green. Opening September 10th, ‘Traces of Light’ takes inspiration from our brightest stars who shine brilliantly even as we enter the long nights of Winter.
Lighting the way will be new offerings from gallery artists Mark Dunford, Henry Jabbour, Euan McGregor, Daniel Preece, Kay Vinson and Richard Fitton. We are also pleased to introduce newly represented guest artists June Collier, James Bland and Virginia Bounds who’s works pulse with colour and vibrancy. ‘Traces Of Light’ will illuminate the darkest months with exceptional contemporary painting, sculpture, ceramics and prints.
“Artist Judi Green and her partner Brian took over the well-established but quite traditionally oriented Tregony Gallery in Cornwall some four years ago and turned it into what good contemporary gallerists with a bit of venture and commitment in their bones could hope to achieve in the promotion of what I sometimes like to term ‘proper painting’. Maybe not so hard to do in St Ives with its huge Tate St Ives primed audience but much harder work in a small holiday town”.
