London Group members Genetic Moo has a new Microworld exhibition opening on 10 Feb 2024.
MICROWORLD
Sat 10 Feb 2024 to Wed 01 Jan 2025
Windermere Jetty Museum
Rayrigg Road, Bowness on Windermere, Cumbria, LA23 1BN
open daily: 10:00-16:00 (Nov-Mar) and 10:00-17:00 (Apr-Oct)
Entry is included with museum admission. Members go free. Concessions available.
The exhibition features four of Genetic Moo’s interactive artworks including their live-animation generator Multiple (shown below). See yourself converted into coloured silhouettes which multiply across the screen in geometric and organic patterns. Joining in the fun is the tiny indicator species daphnia and a blue swift with its own swift brick (a manufactured nesting brick that may soon become mandatory in the UK for all new builds).
MICROWORLD by Genetic Moo
A playful environment filled with vibrant colours, ambient sounds and digital creatures, inspired by ecosystems found in nature. Immerse yourself in the Microworld and discover a space where creatures respond to each other and to you. Each Microworld is a celebration of a new type of living art that encourages experimentation and collaborative play. Designed for all ages, you can play, explore, experiment, discover, collaborate, create and learn. Microworlds are inclusive, requiring no specialist knowledge. As soon as you walk into a Microworld, you start affecting it.
