The London Group Critical Writing Prize

A new prize of £500 for a contemporary review of The London Group Open 2025.

This is a new award, to be judged by the art writers Jean Wainwright, Sue Hubbard and John Bunker. In its first year, the brief is being put out to the RCA only, who are very enthusiastic about the project. The aim of the prize is to encourage budding new critics and to attract them to visit and review future London Group shows.

The judges will have 5 days (15th – 19th of November) to agree the winner and 2 runners up as the prize giving will be on the 20th of November from 6pm-8pm. There will be one prize, but we will display the best three at the prize giving event on the 20th of November and publish them in The London Group Newsletter.
