Here are the press releases announcing the LG members who will be exhibiting in the Open and The selected Non-Member Exhibitors
The 85th Open selection has been made and the successful artists informed. The show will feature approximately 80 London Group members and the same number of non-members. Thanks to Parker Harris for their submission portal. There were over 1900 works submitted by over 1000 artists which is a record as far as anyone can remember.
Description of the Open
The exhibition will include works by current London Group members alongside works selected from open submission. UK-based artists can enter works in any medium including, painting, sculpture, drawing, print, photography, mixed media, installation, video, sound, digital and performance. Up to 200 works will be shown and at least half the exhibitors will be non-members.
Prizes worth over £10,000 in total will be awarded to non-members and include;
The London Group Prize : £2000
The Felix & Spear Exhibition Prize
Jeff Lowe Sculpture prize : £1,000
The JPES Partnership Prize : £1,000
The Vic Kuell Memorial Prize for Innovation : £1,000
The Chelsea Arts Club Trust Stan Smith Award for an Artist Under 35: £1000
Schauerman Prize for Digital Art : £500
Cornelissen Materials Art Prize : £500
Works for the exhibition will be selected by a panel of artists from The London Group membership committee. The exhibition will include works by current London Group members alongside works selected from open submission.
Please note we can only accept work from UK based artists.
The deadline for entries was 5pm on the 5 September 2023.
Applicants whose work is selected for the exhibition will be formally notified by the end of September and then given full information on requirements for delivery and display of work. In the meantime the following information may be helpful to applicants:
