My painting is semi abstract colourfield work and I draw my inspiration from the environment; I am influenced in particular by the minutiae of my surroundings.

In recent years seeking to diversify my work I researched the concepts of space through sculpture, installation and sight specific work where I found many parallels with my painting from the layering of materials to the title of the finished piece. While at present I am still working with installations, my painting has become the major focus of my work again. I have found that the experience of working in other media has served to inform my work considerably. Although abstraction is a major element in my work there is a hint of the persona. The figure hovers just outside the work.
