I have tried to undermine the authority of the gestural mark.

To question its legitimacy as a conveyer of meaning by transferring paint in a more mechanical and systematic process. In the layering and interweaving of lattices of colour I am trying to evoke patterns of interference. To coax and tease the eye into ambiguous spaces suggestive of broadcast static.
