The Story of a Painting

The story of David Wiseman LG’s paintings and their connection to contemporary literature.

In May, Chris Hamer of The Rowley Gallery posted a photo of David Wiseman’s painting, Woodland River Walk, on Instagram, using it as a backdrop to Robert MacFarlane’s book Is a River Alive?.

Another of David’s paintings was subsequently used to illustrate a review by Adam Weymouth of Is a River Alive?, which was published in the Ecologist and Resurgence magazine.

Then, a few days ago, Woodland River Walk was sold by The Rowley Gallery.
